The Non-Negotiables: What You Absolutely Cannot Leave Without

These two items are required for entry to every PRC board exam. Without both of them, you will not be allowed inside.

1. Your Printed Notice of Admission (NOA)

It must be:

  • Printed on white bond paper (A4 or short bond)
  • Clear and readable, not faded
  • Physical printout, not a screenshot on your phone
  • 2. One Valid Government-Issued ID with Photo

    PRC accepts these IDs:

  • Passport
  • Driver's License
  • PhilSys National ID
  • UMID (SSS or GSIS)
  • PRC ID (if you are already licensed in another field)
  • Voter's ID
  • Postal ID
  • NBI Clearance with photo
  • School ID (currently enrolled students only, with dry seal and registrar signature)
  • Your ID must be original. Photocopies and expired IDs are not accepted.

    What Else to Bring

Pencils (No. 2 or HB, bring 3 to 4 sharpened pencils): Most PRC exams use paper answer sheets.

A pencil sharpener: Small manual or battery-operated.

A white, non-smudging eraser: Poor erasure can confuse the scanning machine.

A watch: Your phone must be turned off or surrendered. Smart watches are not allowed.

Water and a small snack: Confirm allowance at your specific venue. Sealed, clear containers only.

Cash for emergencies: For transportation and unexpected situations.

    What NOT to Bring

  • Mobile phones (must be surrendered or left outside the room)
  • Smart watches of any kind
  • Earphones or any listening device
  • Calculators (unless your specific exam allows it)
  • Notes, review materials, or flashcards
  • Bags larger than a small pouch (at some venues, all bags must be left outside)

  • PRC Board Exam Day Checklist

What to Do the Night Before

  • Lay out all your items: NOA, ID, pencils, eraser, sharpener, watch
  • Check your room assignment on your NOA
  • Look up your testing center on Google Maps
  • Set your alarm at least 90 minutes earlier than you think you need
  • Sleep at a reasonable time — aim for 7 to 8 hours

  • What Time Should You Arrive?

Aim to arrive at least 45 minutes to 1 hour before the official start time. This gives you time to find your specific building and room, settle in, use the restroom, and calm your nerves.

For exams held at large venues with multiple buildings, give yourself even more buffer time.
